The theme of the meeting was “your favourite quilting tool” and almost everyone brought something along. In fact the variety of things on show was so impressive that Katie had 5 pages of notes to distill into the meeting round up email.
We started off with Katie showing us how to cut vinyl on a Cricut machine. She had brought along her mini Cricut – the Cricut Joy – and enough precut LMQG logos for everyone to have a go at weeding (removing the excess vinyl) and heat pressing it onto fabric.
Everyone had brought along a range of things to show, from Hemostats to batting scissors. It was fascinating to see the variety of tools that people use. The round up email after the meeting contained links to everything that had been shown, which could be potentially dangerous for the bank account.
We also had some quilts on show!
